An exhibition commemorating the completion of the popular manga series "Golden Kamui" (by Satoru Noda), published in Weekly Young Jump, will be held at the Kyoto Culture Museum from July 9, 2022 (Saturday)!
In addition to more than 120 illustrations, many related materials, such as folk tools from around Hokkaido and Sakhalin in the late Meiji period, the period in which the work is set, will be on display. Visitors can experience the adventures of the two main characters, Saichi Sugimoto, a former soldier, and Asiㇼpa, an Ainu girl, while learning about the historical background and lifestyle and culture of the time. Visitors will receive a special "miniature paper" featuring a different character for each day of the week, and there are many other exciting features!
