The Pia Film Festival (PFF), a film festival launched in 1977 with the theme of "discovering and nurturing new film talent," will be held at the Kyoto Culture Museum from October 14 (Sat) to 22 (Sun), 2023.

PFF Award 2023, an independent film competition, just announced its awards on September 22 (Fri.), will screen 22 films selected from 557 submissions, in addition to 20 films from 6 projects in the invited film section, "Icasuzee! 70's and 80's" in addition to 22 films selected from 557 submissions. In addition, the festival will feature Kazuki Omori, a director with deep ties to Kyoto, and guest appearances by Takuji Suzuki, Yoko Yamanaka, Keiko Tsuruoka, and other directors.
