Udon Noodles at Gion Sueyu

Enjoy the taste of Kyoto cuisine at home. Start ordering!

Japanese restaurant [Gion Sueyu] started ordering. Tried "udon" with authentic broth.

Gion Suetomo opened in February 2009 in front of the south gate of Kenninji Temple in Gion as a Japanese restaurant where you can enjoy seasonal Kyoto cuisine in a house built in a traditional Kyoto style sukiya style. Gion Sue-Tomo started ordering frozen udon noodles in the hope that customers can enjoy delicious food and stay healthy even in times like these. While there are some luxury orders such as hamo shabu (hamo cakes) and nabe (hot pot) dishes, this time we would like to introduce "frozen udon" that allows you to easily enjoy the delicious broth.

1.Put the frozen noodles in the pot and in about 8 minutes, the broth-scented udon noodles are ready to eat!

The owner, Mr. Sueyu, trained at a Kyoto-style kaiseki restaurant before setting up his own restaurant here. He serves seasonal kaiseki cuisine using only the finest quality water, which is essential for Kyoto cuisine. He is so particular that he even dug a well 40 meters underground!

After July, the regular price is 800 yen.

After opening the package, just put it straight into the pot. No water or seasonings are needed!

Now let's warm up the "Curry Udon" in a pot.

This time, I tasted the curry udon. From the moment it was first heated, it was filled with the aroma of broth.

The udon noodles on top of the broth and the ingredients frozen on top of the udon are quickly simmering! The aroma of the broth is also in the air. It takes about 8 minutes to heat up! Serve it in a bowl.

I'm going to eat it right away! I didn't know it was so easy to enjoy the taste of a famous restaurant...!

2.Japanese cuisine restaurant [Gion Sueyu] details

It also features larger ingredients than other frozen food udon noodles. The udon noodles are hand-pulled, slippery, and chewy...how could they not be delicious? The delicious broth, scented with bonito broth, also makes you want to drink it all the way through. The beef and fried bean curd are also included in the soup, making it a hearty enough dish.

In fact, I tasted the other flavors as well, and was comforted by the depth of the broth in each one. The "Kizami Kitsune" had a gentle flavor that seemed to soak into the body, while the "Pork and Onion" had the richness of a solid broth! Currently, orders can only be placed by phone or fax, so please inquire at the store first.

It is very convenient and recommended for a quick lunch on a holiday or when you come home from work and want something quick and easy to eat!
