From July 1, 2023 (Sat), a light-up event will be held at Kibune Shrine, the head shrine of the Water Gods and famous as a match-making shrine.
Spend the cool of the evening in the softly lit precincts, listening to the murmuring of the river and the swaying of bamboo branches. Tanzaku strips (100 yen per strip) are available at several locations on the temple grounds, so make your wishes and hang them on the bamboos. In conjunction with the lighting up of the shrine, the red seal booth will be open until around 7:00 p.m. and the mizuyu mikuji will be open until 8:00 p.m. during the festival period.
