[Misonobashi Sakai] will be celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2022 after becoming independent from [Chinese Sakai Main Store]. In Kyoto, cold noodles are so synonymous with the restaurant that people say, ``When you think of cold noodles, you think of Sakai.'' ``When you think of Sakai, you think of cold noodles.'' What makes it so appealing is the special sauce that takes a lot of time and effort to make. It is carefully prepared over two to three days using a blend of chicken bones, soy sauce, and a variety of seasonings. The thick, mellow and rich sauce coats the thick, chewy noodles jointly developed with a noodle factory, making it a perfect match. The main ingredients are juicy grilled pork, with cucumber and seaweed as the perfect accents. Try the enchanting cold noodles that you'll want to eat all year round.
