The annual Christmas event "GOOD NATURE CHRISTMAS" will be held from November 19 (Sat) to December 25 (Sun), 2022. The museum will be decorated with sustainable decorations made from scrap wood and recycled paper, and various events will be held during the event period.
This winter, experience the environmentally friendly "GOOD NATURE" Christmas that can only be experienced here, while truly enjoying the sacred time.
Christmas Events and Decorations
In addition to the Christmas tree in the courtyard, which has been a popular spot for social networking every year, this year's decorations include many sustainable elements. The Christmas tree is based on a fir tree and decorated with ornaments made from recycled paper and dried flowers. The Karesansui (dry landscape garden) on the same floor will be decorated with botanical lights that generate electricity with the power of plants, creating a magical effect.

A sustainable tree made of recycled construction waste and other materials will be installed on the first floor [MAENIWA]. Ornaments made from waste wood from the "Byproducts Shop," a project that provides new value to byproducts from artists' ateliers, will also be used as part of the decorations.

Lighting Ceremony at the "Discarded Instruments" Concert
The lighting ceremony will be held with a performance by the "By-Product Band Zombies," a project of the By-Product Store, which revives "zombie instruments" that have no users or opportunities to be played by bringing them back to sound. The performance will include mainly Christmas songs that can be enjoyed by both children and adults. A gallery exhibition of "Byproducts Store" will also be held during the event.

A Christmas wreath-making workshop using "loss flowers," which were popular last year, will be held on the 4th floor. After being used at events and other events, plants that would normally be discarded are dried and reused as Christmas wreath decorations.
