Tae Uesaka, a painter of Kyoto ware and Kiyomizu ware, depicts his masterpiece ``White Chrysanthemum'' on this small plate. Each chrysanthemum petal is carefully painted, and if you look closely, you can see that the Japanese paint has been applied. The flowers come in six color variations: vermilion, blue, green, purple, peach, and yellow, giving off a gentle fragrance from the center of the flower. Each color has a gradation technique, and the expression of the white chrysanthemums looks different depending on the color.
The dough is made from the same material as matcha bowls used in tea ceremonies, so we recommend placing dried sweets on top. It is safe to use it after soaking it in water. If you arrange the colors as a ``plate'' for serving sweets, it will create a gorgeous atmosphere for casual tea parties and teatime hospitality. It's a little larger than a typical bean plate, about 10cm in diameter, so it's easy to use and can be used for meals.
