In a plump form.
Leaf Plate" with white chrysanthemum petals

The shape of a puffy leaf, like a shikimi-leaf, scattered in Buddhist ceremonial flower dispersal. This "leaf plate" was created by Tae Uesaka, a painter. Holding it in one's hand, one can see that each petal of the "white chrysanthemum" has been carefully painted. The large expanse of the flower is painted all the way to the back without cutting it in the middle, and the inscription "Tae" is written on the back. Mr. Uesaka, who was born in Gunma Prefecture, had wanted to create something he could devote his life to after suffering a serious life-threatening illness, so he begged Mr. Zensho Yamaoka of Kiyomizu ware, whom he had seen on TV and was shocked by, to become his apprentice. After becoming an apprentice to the master, Uesaka honed his skills as a tea ceremony utensil painter in Kyoto. After becoming independent, he started making his own original pottery. The "Shirakiku" series, in particular, has won numerous awards and is his masterpiece.
