kitchen vessel
Watakama Watakama Mug Ringo
Directly from the manufacturer

3,960Yen (tax included)

Enjoy the sensation of feeling it fit in your hand.
Mellow mugs for daily use from Kameoka

Ringo, with its impressive chunky form, is designed with an "apple" motif, as its name suggests.
The design of the cup handle is more distinctive than other cups.
The design is attractive because it is shaped to fit one finger, allowing you to fill it with plenty of warm tea and then wrap your hand around the whole thing to feel its temperature as you savor it in a relaxed manner.
It holds approximately 230-250 ml and is stable, so in addition to coffee and tea, it would also make a wonderful breakfast dish to serve at the table with soup at breakfast.
Please note that each piece is handmade, so the glaze shade may vary.

About the brand

WATAKAMA is a brand of ceramics created by Kohei Watabiki and Mayuko Watakama, who currently run a children's modeling class and make ceramics in Kameoka, Kyoto Prefecture. They started making ceramics for expression in graduate school, but after the birth of their child, they began to feel that they wanted to make things for their own use, so they started making vessels. In order to express the quality of the vessels that is different from that of craftsmen, she actually uses them with her family to feel their texture and weight, and uses this as feedback to create the finished product. Since each piece is handmade, the number of pieces will be limited. Please take this opportunity to experience WATAKAMA's vessels.
