The exhibition, which will be held at the Kyocera Museum of Kyoto in Okazaki from April 21, 2022 (Thu), will present about 120 items, including masterpieces on display in Japan for the first time, with the cooperation of the Museo Nazionale d'Archeologia di Napoli.
The ancient Roman city of Pompeii was lost in a volcanic eruption. The memory of the city, swallowed by ashes, is sealed up in the ruins like a time capsule. The many artifacts, such as luxurious household goods and artifacts, which reveal the prosperity of the city and people's daily lives, connect us to the city far away, 2000 years apart.
