和食一筋30年以上の店主の西澤さんが、長年住んだ下鴨で「誰でも気に入れる店を」と夫婦で始めた和食店。料理はすべてコースで、丁寧な仕込みや繊細な技が生む料理はもちろん、土鍋でふっくら炊いたごはんも絶品だ。西澤さんの地元・奈良県山添村の農家から仕入れるコシヒカリは、思わず食べ過ぎてしまうほど味わい深い。

祇園の料亭での修業を経て独立し、店を構えて約30年。毎朝京都市中央市場で仕入れる新鮮な魚介を使った、魚料理を中心とした和食を提供している。平日限定の日替わりのおまかせランチは、天ぷらor焼き物にお造り、小鉢2品が付いた充実の内容で、1200円とコスパ抜群。その価格と本格的な味から、営業開始5分で満席になることも。店主の地元・福井の畑で育てた山椒を使ったちりめんじゃこやコシヒカリなど、福井の味覚もところどころに楽しめる。
