7. Beautiful court Thai cuisine prepared with quality ingredients at Futsalakan / Kiyamachi

A former teahouse built in the early Showa period (early 20th century) was renovated into a restaurant specializing in Thai cuisine, established in 1989. The Thai chef, who has more than 10 years of experience in Thailand, serves court Thai cuisine that is not too spicy, while placing importance on the appearance of the dishes. The chef is particular about quality ingredients, using homemade herbs and spices purchased in Thailand, as well as organic vegetables from Kyoto. The spice-scented standard dishes are also known for their elegance and palatability.

9. [Homemade soba noodles on a refreshing riverbed at Denbe / Kibune

Even if you are just visiting Kibune on a casual solo trip, you can stop by here without a reservation. The zarusoba, perfect for this season, is made with a ratio of 2:8, and is served with cold water to tighten the noodles and give them a smooth texture. Especially in the hot summer months, we recommend the cold soba set, made with buckwheat flour produced in Shiga Prefecture and bathed in Kibune's famous water. It is a must-visit when visiting Kibune Shrine.
