Horikawa Sanjo's Izakaya [Ohashi] is a back alley oasis found in the middle of the city.

On the west side of Inokuma-dori, down Inokuma-dori from the crowded Sanjo-kai shopping street. If you go down a slightly secluded and tasteful alley, you will find a bar in a revitalized building from the early Showa period. The retro and relaxed atmosphere is so cozy that you may want to make it your own secret base. Mr. Ohashi, who specializes in Japanese cuisine, uses fresh fish and vegetables he has just purchased that day to serve you dishes that will make your drinks go down a treat.

Ohashi's Nagasaki Chanpon

Champon is a dish directly from a master from Nagasaki. 1,320 yen. Rich white soup made by slowly simmering chicken stock.

The menu changes daily, with obanzai lined up on the counter and local dishes from Kyushu, where Mr. Ohashi trained. Seats on the second floor can be reserved for 4 to 10 people for a course of 6,600 yen. We recommend drinking at the first, second, or third bar as well as the first bar.
