Ninnaji Temple

Ninna-ji Temple, founded by Emperor Uda in the early Heian period (794-1185) and closely associated with the imperial family, will be illuminated from October 13 (Fri.) to December 3 (Sun.), 2023.
For the maple illumination, the environment is designed with brightness and light positions that make it easy to take pictures, and the autumn leaves adorning the majestic five-story pagoda and other structures come to life. In 2023, an artificial mist will be generated to create a fantastic space. In addition, a mural of the national treasure Kondo Godai Myoo, which is unveiled once every five years, and a café next to the Kannon Hall will be open for a limited period of time, where visitors can take a break.
