On Sunday, October 30, 2022, "Kyoto Meat Festival," a food event introducing the finest Japanese beef brand Kyoto meat, will be held at [Okazaki Park] for the first time in three years.
Kyoto meat is a Japanese black cattle breed that meets such criteria as "being raised in Kyoto City for the longest period of time" and "having a carcass grading of A5, B5, A4, or B4 standard by the Japan Meat Grading Association.
On the day of the event, 15 of Kyoto's leading restaurants, including Hiroshi Kyoto Meat Restaurant and Moritaya, will sell meat dishes for one day only. With special support from Suntory Limited, Kyoto-produced The Premium Malts, Midori Gin Soda, and All Free will be available, and visitors will be able to enjoy meat dishes prepared by the best chefs along with drinks.
In addition, Kyoto meat, which is hard to find in supermarkets, will be sold in limited quantities at special prices of 1,000 yen, 2,000 yen, and 3,000 yen. There will also be unique events such as the "Kyoto Beef Squealer Championship" and the "Kyoto Meat Willow". Enjoy a fun-filled day full of Kyoto meat.
