[Kyoto - A Hole in the Map of Autumn Foliage - Temples and Spots I Don't Really Want to Tell You About

Kyoto is in the season of autumn foliage. Although we would like to see beautiful autumn leaves, we would like to avoid the crowds if possible.
In this issue, we will introduce selected autumn foliage spots recommended by our local editorial department as "hole-in-the-wall" spots from our autumn foliage specials.

1.The scene seen on the poster unfolds [Kurodani Konkai Komyoji Temple] / Okazaki

The origin of the temple is a hermitage built in Kurodani by 43-year-old Honen Shonin at the end of the Heian period (794-1185), after completing his ascetic training on Mount Hiei.
The best spot to enjoy the autumn foliage is around the three-story pagoda. The view of the tunnel of autumn leaves stretching from both sides of the hill and the three-story pagoda at the back of the tunnel is exceptional.
