The vermilion-lacquered Shinkei treasure tower and the surrounding maple trees are reflected on the surface of Houshoike Pond, which is a beautiful and lustrous sight. During the fall foliage season, Osawa Pond, known as one of the three best places in Japan to view the moon, is illuminated. The reflection of the maple trees and the Shinkyohoto Pagoda on the surface of the water at night is also very atmospheric.
