Rest area [Saruya] in the precincts of Shimogamo Shrine. The shaved ice served there is named 'duck icehouse ice' after the midsummer Himuro ritual. We use high-density hard ice that contains no impurities as much as possible, and the ice that is finely and thinly shaved with a blade melts in your mouth like the first snow.
