The owner of the restaurant, Mr. Kori, is a Canadian. While stopping over in Japan many times to change planes, he was attracted by the convenience and food culture, and he eventually decided that he wanted to live here. Originally an engineer, his family was involved in the restaurant business, and he found himself developing a passion for cooking, which led him to open the restaurant.

The famous Dutch Baby is a fluffy, chewy pancake baked in the oven. The thick bacon and maple syrup add an addictive sweetness to the dish. The menu also includes sweets that evoke the wabi and sabi of a Japanese garden and onigiri lunches, a menu that only Kohli, who loves Japan, can offer.
