梅小路公園にある内陸型大規模水族館 ［京都水族館］
京都駅にも程近い［梅小路公園］内に2012（平成24）年開業した内陸型大規模水族館。オオサンショウウオを展示する「京の川」エリアや、京都の海を再現した「京の海」大水槽など、約200種1万点のいきものを10エリアで展示している。多彩なクラゲを展示する「クラゲワンダー」では、約30種2000匹ものクラゲを生態に合わせてさまざまな水槽で展示しており、幻想的なクラゲたちの世界が楽しめる。
