This Japanese restaurant was established in 1970 and is a 7-minute walk from Tarobo-gumae Station on the Omi Railway. The restaurant is run by the second generation, Masaru Iwasaki, who trained at restaurants in Kyoto.
Using fresh seafood and local ingredients, the restaurant's cuisine incorporates the essence of Kyoto-style cooking and is known for its generous portions that will fill one's stomach. In addition to developing processed products using lake fish such as moroko and lotus with producers in Shiga, the restaurant has also begun offering Kanawa, a swallow food that preserves the taste and beauty of Japanese cuisine.
