The owner, Mr. Toshihiko Nakamura, has been a meat professional for more than 20 years, including running a yakiniku restaurant [Kyogoku-do] in Uji. The restaurant serves Yamagata beef, which is limited to A5 grade female beef. He says, "This is the highest grade of meat I can think of at the moment. The difference in taste compared to other beef is obvious," says Nakamura.
The fat from the high-quality Yamagata beef is sweet and does not upset the stomach, leaving only a lingering aftertaste of the deep flavor of the meat. For lunch, the restaurant also offers roast beef and Nichinan glutinous pork cutlet bowls, all at surprisingly reasonable prices. Take-out is available, and the restaurant also sells meat.
