2026年9月1日（火）まで、［京都国際マンガミュージアム］（京都府京都市中京区）で『わたしをすくうエッセイマンガの処方箋展』が開催されている。
同館の開館20周年を記念した企画展示で、1970年代以降の少女マンガのエッセイマンガから、突撃ルポに育児マンガ、コミックエッセイ、WEBやSNS発の作品まで、その変遷をたどる。美容、育児、家族、友達、病気、片付けなど、今を生きる人たちに寄り添うさまざまなテーマの作品をエッセイ（文章）形式で紹介するのも特徴だ。
さらに、さくらももこ氏、安野モヨコ氏、東村アキコ氏、矢部太郎氏など、27名のマンガ家による原画など総計330点（一部展示替えあり）も展示。作品のネームに構想ノート、雑誌資料や手に取って読める単行本なども並び、エッセイマンガ制作の裏側や奥深さに触れられる。自分にとっての“処方箋”となる一冊を探しに訪れてみて。
