"Another Hometown," a spin-off exhibition featuring comedian and painter Jimmy Onishi, will be held at the Ace Hotel Kyoto (Nakagyo Ward, Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture) from Saturday, November 1, 2025, through Saturday, January 31, 2026.
As a spin-off exhibition held in advance of the “Hometown” exhibition scheduled for winter 2026, focuses on the “places” around the world that Jimmy Onishi has encountered through his creative work. In addition to showcasing works inspired by those locations, the exhibition positions Kyoto as his “other hometown” and premieres a new, original work created specifically for this occasion.
In addition, the restaurant [KŌSA] on the hotel’s third floor is offering a special afternoon tea inspired by the cities featured in the exhibition, showcasing the unique charm of each location.
