[Notice from Ajiwaikan] August 2023 cooking class information

A 5-minute walk from JR Tambaguchi Station, this is a guide to the August 2023 cooking class scheduled at Ajiwai-kan, a museum that promotes the food culture of Kyoto.

2. Japanese cuisine class for parents and children/Saturday, August 5

As a summer vacation special project, we hold a cooking class for elementary school students and their parents. "Kyoto Ryori Meisei", to which the instructors of this class belong, is a gathering of young chefs from long-established restaurants in Kyoto. This is a unique opportunity to learn the techniques of Kyoto cuisine from young chefs who will lead the next generation, so please join us.

3. Sakana-san's "Summer vacation fish study session & how to judge" / August 6 (Sun)

[Kyoto Fisheries Commercial Cooperative Association] held a class on how to cut fish. It is a hands-on class where participants are handed a fish and have them cut it according to the instructions of the instructor.
You can take the cut fish home and use it separately for cooking or grilling. Every 3 to 4 people will be accompanied by an instructor who will guide you carefully, so even first-timers can participate with confidence.
