Located about an hour and a half drive from Kyoto Station, Kyotamba Town has a peaceful rural landscape surrounded by mountains. The town is known as a treasure house of food, with a wide variety of foods such as matsutake mushrooms, sweetfish, venison, and wild boar meat, in addition to vegetables and fruits, thanks to the preservation of nature, fertility of the land, and large temperature differences between day and night. The town has a winery, and its Tamba wine, which makes the most of the flavor of grapes grown in this rich region, has won a gold medal at the Monde Selection in Belgium for six consecutive years. Tamba is a must-visit destination for food lovers, as it offers a wide variety of seafood as well as mountain delicacies.
The dinner venue for this event was an open-air restaurant overlooking the vineyards at the winery [Tamba Wine]. In addition to the dishes based on the concept of local production for local consumption and the wine pairings that go with them, each event will feature a different program, such as the opportunity to observe the butchering of a deer leg and a wine tasting in the cellar, allowing visitors to experience the Fairfield by Marriott Roadside Station Hotel's "journey through the hidden charms of the region" style. The events are designed to allow visitors to fully experience the "journey through the unknown charms of the region" of the Fairfield by Marriott Michi-no-Eki Hotel.
