On Thursday, August 21, 2025, the first Kyoto location of [MILK DO dore iku?], a Hokkaido-based specialty shop offering freshly made donuts, will open in Karasuma Gojo. Made with wheat and milk from Hokkaido, these fresh-baked donuts feature a moist and smooth texture—so soft they almost fall apart when held in your hand—and are characterized by a melt-in-your-mouth sensation that makes them seem to vanish with a gentle fizz. The flagship store in Sapporo has reportedly become so popular that lines form there every day. In addition to the 10 regular menu items—such as “Mixed Sugar” and “Pure Whipped Cream”—the Karasuma Gojo location will introduce a store-exclusive item called “Rich Matcha Glaze,” which combines mellow Hokkaido-grown fresh cream with the deep flavor of domestically produced matcha.
