As summer draws to a close, autumn is finally upon us, and with the heat easing, you may feel the urge to go outside. As the heat eases, don't you feel like going out? Various food events ranging from meat and bread to sake are scheduled to be held in various locations in Kyoto! Find your favorite gourmet foods and enjoy autumn with all your appetite.
On October 4 (Sat.) and 5 (Sun.), 2025, "Michi-1 Grand Prix 2025" will be held at Michi no Eki Tango Kingdom "Shoku no Miyako" in Kyotango City, Kyoto Prefecture, to determine the No.1 Michi no Eki gourmet. The event is an annual gathering of carefully selected signature gourmet products from roadside stations in all 47 prefectures of Japan, with approximately 20 roadside stations offering a rich variety of soul food, including unknown delicacies using local ingredients, nostalgic traditional local cuisine, and new sensory cuisine with a big impact.

The "Kyoto Bread Festival in Kamigamo Shrine" will be held on October 4 (Sat.) and 5 (Sun.), 2025, at Kamigamo Shrine (Kita-ku, Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture). About 20 stores, mainly hotels and bakeries, which are the pride of Kyoto, the "city of bread," will gather from all over the country. Check out the information on the stalls.

From October 9 (Thu.) to 13 (Mon.), 2025, "Belgian Beer Weekend," an event to enjoy Belgian beer culture, will be held at Otosan Plaza (Shimogyo-ku, Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture). About 70 kinds of Belgian beers will be on tap, which can be enjoyed with exquisite gourmet food, and live music will also liven up the event. All beers are classified into 13 types, and the taste chart will give you an idea of the flavor, making it easy to choose the one you like best.

Kyotamba Marche 2025" will be held at Tamba Shizen Undo Koen (Funai-gun, Kyoto Prefecture) for two days on October 18 (Sat.) and 19 (Sun.), 2025. In addition to a variety of seasonal foods from Kyotamba, local menus and products will be sold at tent booths and in kitchen cars, and stage events such as the "National Mont Blanc Competition" and "MUSIC FES" are planned.

On Saturday, November 15, 2025, the "Fushimi Sake Festival in Otesuji Shopping Arcade 2025" will be held at the Fushimi Otesuji Shopping Arcade in Fushimi, Kyoto, one of the three major sake breweries in Japan. Local Fushimi sake breweries will set up special booths to serve sake, and food will be served at special stalls set up by stores in the shopping arcade and popular restaurants in the neighborhood.

From September 13 (Sat.) to 15 (Mon.), 2025, "WOODY HOUSE FESTA" will be held at Maizuru Akarenga Park (Maizuru City, Kyoto Prefecture). The event will be centered around an outlet sale of popular brands, as well as a marché featuring delicious gourmet foods, miscellaneous goods, workshops, and many other enjoyable contents. On the last day of the event, Monday the 15th (national holiday), a food festival "COOLFES" will be held to blow away the heat.
