［The Kyoto Food Culture Museum Ajiawaikan is a food experience facility located near the Kyoto Central Market. It offers visitors the pleasure of "knowing, cooking, and tasting" by presenting Kyoto's unique food culture and the charms of the market.
Exhibits where visitors can learn about Kyoto's traditional and seasonal ingredients, cooking classes and lectures by professional chefs, workshops for parents and children, and other food events are held from time to time. ［There are also many opportunities for demonstrations and tastings using fresh ingredients from the Kyoto Central Market, allowing visitors to learn more about Kyoto's food culture.

京都の食文化や行事食、市場食材に触れることができる『食の体験デー』。毎月テーマを変えて開催され、5月は鰹のたたき作り体験を実施。 表面をバーナーで一気に炙って旨みを閉じ込めたあと、桜チップで軽く燻して香りをまとわせた鰹は絶品。 料理初心者でも気軽に参加できるので、この機会にあなたもぜひ体験してみては。
