As the head office of Atago Shrine, [Atago Shrine] is enshrined on Mt. Atago, the highest peak in Kyoto City. In order to worship, you have to walk the mountain path for about two hours, but from the top you can see the city of Kyoto, Mt. Hiei and the Mt. Hiei mountain range. It is known as a shrine with miraculous powers for fighting fires and preventing fires, and it is said to be a good idea to enshrine a talisman of 'Hinoyojin' in the kitchen.

The detached precincts of Shoren-in Monzeki on the summit of Higashiyama [Seiryuden]. The National Treasure Blue Fudo (replica) is enshrined here, and is said to ward off earthly desires. In addition, the [Shogunzuka], which is about 2m high and about 20m in diameter, is a power spot in front of [Seiryuden]. It is said that Emperor Kanmu buried a statue of the shogun in armor to pray for the peace and security of Kyoto.

[Hyuga Daijingu] is the “Ise-san of Kyoto” that people frequently visited in the days when you could only visit Ise Jingu once in your life. The inner shrine is divided into outer and inner shrines, and the inner shrine enshrines Amaterasu Omikami, the same deity as Ise Jingu. There are many power spots such as "Yogouiwa" where the god descends, "Ama no Iwato" which is said to ward off misfortunes when you pass through it, and "Asahi Izumi" where it is said that the plague was quickly cured.

Known as ``Tanuki Mite Fudo-san,'' this is a place of deep prayers for the common people. Fudo Myo-o, the principal image enshrined in the main hall, is famous for its benefits such as warding off evil, preventing cancer, and curing illnesses. It is also said that the raccoon dog brings prosperity in business and good luck, as it leads to 'outside others'.
