京都の人気イタリアン［fudo］や［To.］のオーナー・入江さんが手がけるシュークリームを中心としたスイーツ店［Canta Canta］（京都府京都市中京区）が［京都御所］そばにオープンした。

店名はイタリア語で“歌うように”という意味のcantabile（カンタービレ）が語源。店内は京都に馴染むようにしつつもイタリア感を出したいと、あえてショーケースは置かず、石目の美しい大理石の作業台にスイーツをディスプレイ。質感のある床タイルのほか、壁にはお皿やワイングラスなども並び、スイーツ店らしからぬ雰囲気が漂う。ほとんど手を加えていないという外観のファサードからは、以前ここにあった喫茶店のエッセンスを感じられる仕掛けも。

シュークリームは塩バニラでアフォガード500円とめっちゃまっちゃ530円、季節限定のベリーストロベリーとマスカルポーネ630円の全3種類。カフェラテ500円などドリンクメニューもスタンバイ

メインのシュークリームはザクザクっとした歯触りを目指し、デュラムセモリナ粉を使用。こだわりの粉の配合で理想の口当たりに行き着いた。たっぷりのクリームと、さらに味の変化が楽しめるソースをプラスしたこだわりの一品を堪能して。

愛らしい青い鳥が描かれた3種入りボックスは1760円。センスのいい手土産としても重宝しそう
