There used to be a popular okonomiyaki restaurant called "Koraku," which was opened by Hiroaki's grandfather and passed down to his father, who regrettably closed the restaurant 14 years ago. Hiroaki became the third generation to open a new restaurant, TEPPAN RAKU GAKU.

I started the restaurant with the hope that many people would enjoy teppan culture. I hope to pass on the flavors of my predecessors," says Hiroaki. The okonomiyaki batter and other ingredients are from his predecessor's recipe, while the sauce is Hiroaki's original, the result of his own research. The teppan dishes, which are a combination of traditional and modern flavors, are already well received, and many days the restaurant is full to capacity.
The restaurant is designed to be a place where one can casually visit alone, with seating only at the counter. The aroma of sauces tickles your nostrils as you watch the food being prepared on the griddle in front of you, and your appetite is whetted whether you want it or not.
The sauce is made from a fruit base and is available in sweet and spicy flavors. We use tuna instead of dried bonito flakes, aosa powder instead of aonori (green laver), and we make our own spicy paste. We are particular about every single ingredient," he says. Hiroaki is also a DJ, and the restaurant has soundproof walls.
Yaki-soba noodles for 700 yen. Yakisoba noodles made with Chinese noodles as a base are firm and chewy, and the sauce is well mixed with the noodles.
