Upon entering [parfait specialty store LAMP], which was designed to resemble a ski resort cabin, you will find yourself in a fantasy world lit by lanterns and warm lights. There are lights everywhere that create a gentle glow in the water flowing through the restaurant. The sound of glasses filled with lights clinking against each other also brought a sense of coolness.

The signature parfait and eight types of parfaits were planned by a group of various female staff members of Biwako Hakodateyama. Fruits will be mainly from Shiga Prefecture, with peaches in summer and persimmons, butou, pears, and figs in autumn. The highlight of this year's event is the "Premium Strawberry Parfait" supervised by Chef Tabuchi of LUDENS, an Italian restaurant in Marutamachi, Kyoto. From Saturday, September 12, a menu featuring autumn fruits (persimmons, grapes, pears, figs, lemons, salted caramel, etc.) will be available. The menu will be available from September 12 (Sat.).

The daily lunch set of 1,800 yen (tax included), limited to 30 servings per day (20 on weekdays), which comes with a mini lentil parfait, is also very popular. This value-priced set includes freshly picked vegetables from Shiga Prefecture and a hamburger steak, and is sold out every day.

Biwako Hakodateyama" is holding a special event, "Hakodateyama Night Gondola," only on nights with a full moon, including the days before and after. Normally the park closes at 17:00, but before and after the full moon (Wednesday, September 2 - Friday, September 4, October 1 - Saturday, October 3, and Saturday, October 31 and Sunday, November 1, 2020), the park will be open until 20:00. These will be special days to enjoy the full moon along with the night view of Lake Biwa and Shiga.

During the "Hakodateyama Night Gondola," [parfait specialty restaurant LAMP] offers a limited "Full Moon Parfait" from 4:00 p.m. The parfait features flowers, in reference to the abundance of petunia fields and other plants. The lower tier, glowing with lantern lights, features blue jelly and lily flower edible flowers, inspired by Lake Biwa. Round slices of orange to resemble a full moon and red toppings reminiscent of petunias also stand out. Citrus fruits are used in abundance, and the refreshing taste is perfect for a hot and humid evening. Limited to 30 pieces, so don't miss out.

Hakodateyama is accessed via a connecting gondola. The gondola starts operating at 9:00 a.m., the last gondola to ascend is at 4:30 p.m., and the last gondola to descend is at 5:00 p.m.
