Kiyomizudera is one of Kyoto's representative temples. Kodai-ji Temple was built by Nene Kodai-in, the wife of Toyotomi Hideyoshi, also known as Kita Masasho, as a final resting place for Hideyoshi and his family. The Kodaiji Garden (designated as a national historic site and a place of scenic beauty), designed by Enshu Kobori, a tea master of the feudal lords, is a pond garden with a circular path around a pond where visitors can enjoy the seasonal flowers and plants.
