2026年7月18日（土）〜20日（月・祝）に、［舞鶴市加佐公民館］（京都府舞鶴市）で『郷土・日本・世界の昆虫展』が開催される。
舞鶴に生息する昆虫をはじめ、京都府北部の収集家による海外の大型クワガタ・カブト・ハナムグリ、美麗チョウ、日本のトンボやセミ、郷土の甲虫など計約5000点の標本を展示。また、特別企画として昆虫収集家・田辺広躬氏がコレクションした国内外のチョウや甲虫などの標本展示も行われる。
会場内には、生きたカブトムシやクワガタムシ、タマムシなどと触れ合いながら観察できる「生き虫コーナー」が設置されるほか、標本の作り方や保存方法について学べる企画も充実し、自由研究のヒント探しにもぴったり。3日間限定のイベントに訪れて、見て、触れて、学べる昆虫の世界を楽しんで。
