［The "Cherry Blossom Viewing Festival" will be held from Monday, March 27, 2023 to Sunday, April 16, 2023 at the Kyoto Prefectural Office Old Main Building, where visitors can view cherry blossoms in full bloom against the backdrop of the Meiji Period building, and enjoy a variety of events and exhibitions unique to Kyoto.

The courtyard of the former main building, an Important Cultural Property of Japan, will be opened to the public, and seven cherry trees of six different species, including "Gion shidare-zakura" and "Yoho-zakura" will decorate the "Cherry Blossom Viewing Festival," which will be held for the first time in four years. Japanese dance performances will be held in the courtyard, tea ceremony will be held, and live music will be performed along with the cherry blossoms at night. In addition, visitors of all ages will be able to enjoy events such as a chance to meet "Mayumaro," Kyoto Prefecture's popular character, and more.
