From November 3, 2023 (Fri.) to December 3, 2023 (Sun.), Eikando (Zenrin-ji Temple), one of the most famous temples in Kyoto, known as "Eikando of maples," will hold an exhibition of temple treasures during the day and a lighting display at night on a rotating basis.
Visitors can enjoy approximately 3,000 maple trees including "Iwagaki-momiji" in the precincts of the temple. The view of the autumn leaves illuminated by the lights and reflected in Houshoike Pond is breathtaking. The illumination of the Amida Hall, where the main deity "Mikaeri Amida" is enshrined, is also a must-see.
