From September 10th (Sun) to November 12th (Sun), 2023, “Jakuchu and Okyo” will be held at Shokokuji Jotenkaku Museum. Kyoto in the 18th century, where many painters used their own painting skills. Among them, Jakuchu Ito and Okyo Maruyama are popular painters who still have many fans. Focusing on the relationship between Shokokuji Temple and Ito Jakuchu, we will introduce the works of Shokokuji Temple and its sub-temple collections. In Phase 1, in addition to Maruyama Okyo's masterpiece, all three volumes of the Important Cultural Property "Seven Disasters and Seven Good Fortunes Scrolls", drawings, and sketches will be exhibited.
