From July 14 (Friday) to October 9 (Monday), 2023, the Fukuda Art Museum will hold "140 Years after His Birth: Yumebini Saku: Painter, Poet, Designer".
In addition to his numerous paintings of beautiful women with tall, graceful features, called "Yumeji-style beauties," which dominated the art world, the exhibition introduces a variety of works that showcase the appeal of Takehisa Yumeji as a creative artist who demonstrated a diverse range of talents, including illustrations for novels, cover designs for sheet music, bookbinding, and writing haiku and lyrics. This is the first time in about 30 years that the collection has been shown together in the Kansai region. The exhibition will be enjoyed not only by Yumeji fans, but also by men and women of all ages.
