Saturday, June 24, 2023 to Sunday, July 30, 2023
10:00-19:30 (Last admission/19:00)
Museum "Eki" KYOTO

Until July 30, 2023 (Sunday), "THE Shin-hanga Publisher, Shozaburo Watanabe's Challenge" is being held at [Museum "Eki" KYOTO].
Using the traditional techniques of ukiyo-e woodblock prints established in the Edo period, contemporary painters who were conscious of high artistry are said to have started shin-hanga. In this exhibition, we will convey the appeal of shin-hanga through the valuable first-print Watanabe-prints, which are few in number, and show the trajectory of Shozaburo Watanabe, who was the driving force behind shin-hanga.
