The "Invitation to Tea Ceremony - Celebrating the New Year" introducing the first tea ceremony of the New Year, Hatsugama, is being held at Omotesenke Kitayama Kaikan until February 19, 2023 (Sunday).
This event, which combines exhibitions, lectures, and hands-on experience, is designed to allow those with an interest in the tea ceremony to experience the culture in a casual manner, and visitors can enjoy not only the exhibition but also a cup of tea.
The beginning of the exhibition welcoming the Year of the Rabbit introduces an assortment of tea ceremony utensils associated with the Chinese zodiac and imperial themes. During the exhibition period, on January 29 (Sun) and February 12 (Sun), there will be "gallery talks" and "tea ceremony experience" lectures by Iemoto uchideshi, so be sure to check it out.
