From February 11, 2023 (Saturday, national holiday), the National Museum of Modern Art, Kyoto will hold a retrospective exhibition of the Japanese-style painter Kai Sho Tadaoto.

Kaiosho was active as a Japanese-style painter from the Taisho to the early Showa period, and skillfully depicted the vividness of human nature, which is half beautiful and half ugly. The exhibition redefines Kuson Kai as "an expressionist with a complex and multifaceted personality.
