12.July: The first HARIO café in the Kansai region to open in Gion, Kyoto.
HARIO, a company that manufactures and sells coffee utensils, has opened a café along Ishibe Koji in Gion. 16.October: Battle for Tickets! Nintendo Museum opens in Uji, Kyoto!

17.October: Long-established Kyoto coffee shop [Inoda Coffee, Sanjo] reopens after a two-and-a-half year absence.
In March 2022, Inoda Coffee Sanjo, which had been closed for rebuilding due to the aging of the building, reopened for business for the first time in two and a half years. It was reborn as a "New Classical" store with large windows that let in the morning sun. The third store of the popular Fukuoka-based bakery [amam dacotan], which was born in 2018, opened in Karasuma-Oike on November 2, 2024 as the first store in Kansai and the last store in Japan. 19.November: Baikal Shimogamo Main Store, which will soon celebrate its 70th anniversary, reopens after renovation.
創業70年を迎える老舗洋菓子店［洋菓子のバイカル 下鴨本店］が今年1月からの建替え工事を終え、2024年11月15日（金）に新装オープンした。
