For picnics, the grassy area from Marutamachi Bridge to Hiiragino is recommended. Benches are also provided in the shade of trees along the river, so you can enjoy picnicking comfortably there as well. Feel the changing face of the Kamo River as the seasons change.
The east bank from Demachi Bridge to Kitayama Bridge is lined with jogging and walking paths.

A 4-minute walk east from Kitaoji Station. [Located right next to Kamogawa Park, this coffee shop is run by a couple.
The idea for the picnic set came from the couple's enjoyment of drinking freshly brewed coffee while gazing at the Kamo River. Home-brewed coffee and rusks in a thermos. A simple picnic set with ceramic cups or glasses and a tablecloth costs 1,400 yen per person for 1.5 hours. Spread out your sheet on the field and relax, listening to the sound of the river flowing by. Enjoy a blissful time.

Arashiyama Park/Araushiyama Kouen
Arashiyama Park (Kameyama area)] (commonly known as "Kameyama Park") is located about a 15-minute walk west of Arashiyama town. The park is maintained along the Katsura River over the Wataratsuki Bridge, and a 10-minute walk to the observatory will take you to the Hozu River cruise boats, trolley trains, and other scenery that symbolize Arashiyama.
The plaza is recommended for picnics. Several benches and tables are provided, and you can enjoy a blue-air lunch or a café at any place you like.
Turtle Island Park is a beautiful green place where cherry trees and maple trees grow in a red pine forest.
