Tsuruya Yoshinobu, a long-established Japanese confectionery founded in 1803, will release a limited edition Tanabata (Star Festival) yokan (yokan jelly) in stores for one week from July 1 (Sat.) to 7 (Fri.), 2023. In addition, the official online store is now accepting reservations for a special Tanabata set that combines Tanabata and other brand-name confections. Tanabata, a craft-like confectionary, depicts the once-a-year reunion of Hikoboshi and Orihime in the night sky. The stars shining in the summer night are encased in clear amber jelly and combined with richly flavored Ogura-jam.
