On October 9 (Sun.), 2022, a music festival organized by Kyoto-based rock band Kururi will be held for the first time in three years at Umekoji Park in Kyoto. The artists will be added as they are added, so don't miss out on the official website.

From October 7, 2022 (Friday), a large-scale exhibition will be held at the Kyocera Museum of Art in Kyoto to introduce the history of Sanrio and the behind-the-scenes process of character creation. Sanrio has created numerous popular characters such as Hello Kitty and My Melody. The exhibition will introduce many rare contents that can only be seen here, including "Secrets of Sanrio Design," as well as secret stories of planning and hard work.

An exhibition featuring works by Rimpa and Jakuchu from the Hosomi Collection and the Japanese painting "Rin-ne," which depicts contemporary pop culture, is being held at the Hosomi Art Museum through December 4 (Sun.). In this exhibition, well-known characters will appear, either borrowing scenes from the works that inspired their creation, or taking the place of some of the motifs.

An exhibition of Andy Warhol's work will be held at the Kyocera Museum of Art in Okazaki, Kyoto from September 17, 2022 (Saturday). Of the approximately 200 works on display, more than 100 will be exhibited for the first time in Japan. Some of his most famous works, such as "Campbell's Soup I: Tomato" and "Three Marilyns" (Japan premiere), will be on display, which everyone has probably seen at least once.

From September 17, 2022 (Sat), an exhibition introducing picture books that are steeped in Swiss culture will be held at the Asahi Beer Oyamazaki Villa Museum of Art. Swiss picture books, such as "The Bremen Ongakutai" and "The Wolf and the Seven-Planted Cricket," are widely popular in Japan. The book uses a variety of techniques to depict scenes that look happy but are actually scary, and scenes that look scary but are actually fun.
