This 100-year-old townhouse is located between Nishi Honganji Temple and Higashi Honganji Temple. The owner, Mr. Matsuda, fell in love with this place at first sight and decided to open a restaurant. Although Mr. Matsuda is a talented chef who worked for many years at a famous Italian restaurant, he decided to make the restaurant a casual eatery so that customers can relax and enjoy the food in this space.
For lunch, an obanzai plate with plenty of Kyoto vegetables is available. Since this used to be a tofu store, a tofu hamburger steak was chosen as the main side dish. The restaurant also offers a course meal plan, limited to one per day, which is prepared upon prior request.
