Founded in 1963, Tenwaka is a Japanese restaurant loved by many people in Nishijin, a town of silk fabrics. 54 years of history came to an end in 2017 due to the aging of the owner, but in December 2021, the restaurant was revived for the first time in five years.
I decided to take over my grandfather's restaurant when I was three years old," said Riri Nishioka, who became the second-generation owner at the age of 30, just as his grandfather started Tenwaka.
