This is a sister store of spaghetti & cake SECOND HOUSE, which has been popular in Kyoto for over 40 years. The restaurant offers a wide variety of lunches, sweets, and teas that skillfully use rosemary, thyme, and other herbs. The staff created the interior to their own taste, from the flooring to the chairs, tables, and lighting. A lunch recommendation is the plate lunch for 1,300 yen with a choice of meat, fish, or main dish. The main dish of the day was potato-crusted cod wrapped in basil sauce. We were also pleased to see plenty of vegetables such as lotus root arrabbiata and steamed egg custard with yam. The dessert plate of 1,500 yen includes a variety of desserts such as pavlova and coffee jelly parfait, and is served with a 600 yen beauty skin blend.
