2026年8月11日（火・祝）まで、［二条城］（京都府京都市中京区）内にある［二条城障壁画展示収蔵館］で、夏期展示『将軍、着座す～〈大広間〉三の間～』が開催されている。
今年は、徳川将軍が天皇を［二条城］に招いてもてなした歴史的に大きな出来事である「寛永行幸」から400年という節目の年。そこで、寛永行幸のために狩野派によって一新された障壁画をテーマに分けて紹介する『シリーズ寛永行幸 400年』を4期にわたって実施し、今回の夏期では、将軍が着座した「三の間」の障壁画を公開。繁栄を表す巨大な松と、希少性から権力の象徴とされた孔雀が描かれ、当時の権威や美意識を感じることができる。この機会に、貴重な障壁画を通して［二条城］の歴史に触れてみて。
